Picasso lived and worked here for many years and you can visit the famous Picasso museum in the old town, exhibiting several of his works. The old Antibes is surrounded by an ancient protective wall where you can enjoy nice walks with a marvellous view over the Mediterranean. Antibes' closest neighbour, Juan-les-Pins is the seaside resort that was until the early 1900s a quiet fishing village and has today evolved into a "jet-set" destination with casinos, luxury hotels and popular residences. Each year, the city hosts a world-renowned jazz festival where many international artists perform. Juan-les-Pins is also home to numerous nightclubs and a bustling nightlife as well as beautiful sandy beaches.
